Crystal Lawless was featured in a story on the UPMC career site to bring awareness to the Histology profession.
The UPMC Presbyterian Histology laboratory is located at the Clinical Labs Building, which is just across the street from the Presbyterian campus in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh. The lab services UPMC Presbyterian, Shadyside and Mercy hospitals and processes a wide variety of specimen types. Hours of operation are Monday- Friday from 3am-11:30pm and Saturday from 7am-12pm. Sunday hours are dependent on clinical need for stat processing.
The lab is staffed by 28 Histology Technicians and 4 Lab Assistants.
